Taking screenshots is easy and it can be done instantly, but saving the images, managing and sharing them can be tedious work. With ScreenSnapr, you can take snapshots of a specific area of the screen and upload it to a remote server, with a single keyboard combination. Once uploaded, the images can be shared, just by copying and pasting their links.

ScreenSnapr is free and it is possible to upgrade to a payed version, if you want access to premium features. For the moment, the application is available only for Windows platforms, but a Mac OS X version has been announced, along with an Android edition. Besides installing ScreenSnapr, you may create an online account as well, which requires only an email address and a password.

The application works in the background, without hindering you in any way. You can bring up a tabbed configurations menu, by double clicking ScreenSnapr's system tray icon. The available options make it possible to enable drag and drop uploading, to set the application to start automatically at system startup, to shrink URLs, select an image format and more. You can also define your own keyboard shortcuts, on the same window.

You may capture any region of the screen, by drawing a rectangle, after using the appropriate keyboard shortcut. The application will automatically upload the screenshot to your ScreenSnapr online account. Besides screenshots, you can upload any image on your hard drive, by copying the file to the clipboard and using a different keyboard shortcut.

ScreenSnapr is not limited to a single server. If you have another file hosting server, you can specify its address and port, your username and password and other details, in the application's general settings menu. If your settings are correct, ScreenSnapr will upload your images to the server of your choice.

Pros

Snapshots are uploaded automatically, after you capture the screen or part of it. You can also upload image files from your hard drive, with a simple keyboard shortcut. The application can upload your pictures to the ScreenSnapr server or to a server of your choice.

Cons

You can save your screenshots only in JPG and PNG formats. Thanks to ScreenSnapr's simplicity and efficiency, you can take screenshots and upload them to a remote server, with nothing more than a simple keyboard shortcut.
